Staying In Place
Staying in Place is a community approach to aged care services that's making it possible for older people in regional areas of Western Australia to stay living within their own homes and in their community. The Hopetoun Community Resource Centre joins 46 other WA Community Resource Centre's in delivering this innovative program.
An aged care model that's uniquely different:

To deliver this program we collaborate closely with InCasa Country, a trusted West Australian Aged Care service provider and Mable our local skilled workforce. Together, we guide you through the intricacies of Home Care Packages, ensuring that your specific needs are not only met but that you feel supported and empowered to Stay In Place.
Home Care Packages
The Home Care Packages program is a Commonwealth Government-subsidized initiative designed to provide ongoing support for ageing individuals who wish to remain in the comfort of their own homes. Anyone 65 years or over (50 years and over for First Nations People) are eligible.
The program offers four distinct levels of funding, each corresponding to individual needs.
The funding allocated to each level varies, allowing individuals the ability to use funds for a variety of assistance and services tailored to their specific requirements.
Home Care Package Levels

Level 3: Intermediate care needs

Level 4: High-level care needs
Government funding varies for each level, with higher-level packages receiving more substantial support. This financial assistance allows recipients to access a broader range of services. If care needs evolve, there’s an opportunity for re-assessment to potentially secure a higher-level package. Following an Aged Care Assessment, individuals will be informed of the specific level that best suits their unique needs.
