About the Event

NEW DATE - Saturday 12th September

During this upcoming astrophotography fieldtrip/workshop, you will be learning about where certain objects are in the sky, and how that changes throughout the year and night. Where and what the south celestial pole is and what it means for your photos, how to setup your camera and tripod, the camera settings to use to photograph the night sky. And, various techniques you can use to capture your images for later post processing. I will also discuss various styles of astrophotography such as images, timelapse and star trails.

The workshop is mostly about how to capture the images. I will not be discussing much about post processing, and it is expected that you already know how to change your camera settings and know your way around your camera.

We will meet at 2:00pm at the Hopetoun CRC for some theory and inspiration. We will break at about 5:30pm for a light supper (included) before heading out to a location where we will set up and capture some images.

Cancellation Policy:

No refund will be given if participant makes cancellation within 7 days of course commencement.

If the course is rescheduled due to unfavorable weather conditions and the participant is not able to attend on the rescheduled date, a full refund will be provided.
